Our 8.15 service is our traditional worship. This means we are a little more formal. You will experience things that have a more historical or ancient feel to them. Our excellent adult choir provides worship music.  Sometimes we have responsive readings and written prayers as appropriate, but your participation is always voluntary. We start with gathering and praising type things. Early in this section we stop and allow people to greet the others who have come to worship. We try to wear name tags so we will be easier to identify, but we never put visitors on display (unless you came with your grandma or your best friend from work and they want to tell everybody). Next is the morning message which is shared by one of our pastors. These are highly practical, Bible based messages, where the pastor shares stories and applications to help people make them more personal. Our pastors use Powerpoint ® to give the sermon a visual assistance. Messages are generally about 25 minutes long.  Finally we share joy and pray. We encourage our people via open mike to take a moment and share some way God has been blessing them. Then we pray for the needs of the congregation. After a final song, we dismiss. Generally this service is over at 9.15 am.

We have nursery care during this service for infants and young children.  This is a service for all generations, but right now most of our younger families and our teenagers will attend the later service. The style and time seems to suit them better. Many of our young adults, however,  choose this service.

Our 10.45 service is our more informal, contemporary worship. The music definitely is up-tempo and uses a variety of instruments including keyboard, drums, guitars, and woodwinds. A contemporary ensemble leads the music. We have a lay person who leads worship and various people—pastors and volunteers of all ages—do different things in this worship.  We start with gathering and praising type things for the first 15 minutes, mostly singing. The songs are easy to sing and have modern words. We use a PowerPoint ® screen instead of a hymnal or songbook. A brief time is given to catch your breath, write down a prayer concern, then we have some time for the children.  Following this the children (anybody grade 5 or under) is dismissed to our children’s worship ministry. We greet one another, present our morning offering.  Next is a message as in the first service, although generally a little more informally. It is the same essential message but our pastors try to speak to the “audience” for each service, designing how they communicate to the age and experience of the listener.  We finish as in the earlier service although we often invite people to come to the altar if they want someone to pray for them. No pressure. No putting people on display. If you come to the altar to pray, someone will join you quietly for support. This service generally lasts 60-65 minutes. We are finished before noon.

Nursery care is provided throughout the service but our pastors have no problem with you keeping your children and infants with you. If they get distracting, we simply ask you to take them to the nursery.

Since in both services, the sermons are over fairly early, we are never offended if someone needs to leave early. We just ask you to do it quietly.

After each service someone would be willing to talk with you, pray with you, counsel or even give a tour. Just say something to one of the persons at the door.  After each service we have a hospitality time in the lobby. Stop and visit with us.

Please know that if you want to remain anonymous we will respect that. We will not put you on display. We will welcome you and engage you in conversation. We will answer any question, but we will respect your right to “observe.” If you are willing, we would appreciate it if you would complete a pink registration card at the service to tell us something about yourself. We will send you a gift, but we won’t put you on a list or “visit” you unless you ask us to. A Welcome Packet is available in the lobby or from one of our greeters/ushers upon request.
